The grain team at your Nemaha County Coop is here to help you. Whether it is our ability to handle your crop during harvest time or providing you markets for the grain you have stored on your farm, we are at your service. We can provide you price quotes during normal business hours so that you can sell any quantity of grain at any time you choose, as long as market conditions allow. For those of you who don’t enjoy watching the markets and have price targets, call us and let us watch the markets for you. Grain prices move fast and allowing us to watch the markets for you is one less chore you will have during your already busy day. Come in and see us or give us a call, we look forward to the chance to serve you. Thank you! Doug Biswell Grain Department Manager
Grain Markets will close Thursday at Noon and will be close all day Friday. AGP and Midwest Ag will be closed on Friday, July 3rd in observance of Independence Day.
Grain Comments Grain Markets are down this morning as weather looks to turn drier, which will be welcomed in the wet, eastern cornbelt. Fund buying has slowed down while farmers continue to sell, pressuring the market. Export sales came out neutral for corn at 594k tons for old crop and 239k tons of new. Soybeans sales were bearish with net cancelations of 10k tons of old crop and only 127k new. Wheat has given back all of the post-report gains the past couple of days after traders took into account that the report didn’t contain any bullish information. Wheat export sales came in within trade estimates at 363k tons. Currently wheat is down 6, corn is up 2, and soybeans are down 7. Outside markets are mixed with the dollar down 200 points and crude is up 65 cents.
